What types of medical and psychiatric conditions are treated through TelePsychiatry Associates, LLC?

  • TelePsychiatry Associates practitioners are skilled in the practice of treating a wide variety of different conditions in a compassionate manner including: depression, bipolar affective disorder, substance dependency, opiate dependency including Suboxone treatment, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma related to sexual or physical abuse, and weight loss management, among others.

What types of treatments are offered?

  • The types of treatments provided will depend upon your practitioner and the problems needing attention. The first one to two sessions will involve critical listening in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the issues at hand. Treatments that follow could include the discriminating use of medication, empathic psychotherapy, or some combination of both. If appropriate, additional therapeutic treatments may be employed including other psychotherapists, group therapies, structured activities, assigned readings, etc.

Where are the offices located?

  • Please see your provider's profile page to find thier office locations

Is insurance accepted?

  • In most cases, insurance is accepted. You can determine if your insurance policy is accepted by a certain practitioner either through the website or by calling the office.  Most insurance policies cover in-office psychiatric care and some, but not all, cover tele-psychiatry appointments as well. Please be aware that you are responsible for understanding what services your insurance policy will and will not cover. Most insurance policies will still cover the cost of prescriptions and laboratory tests even if appointments are not covered.

How do I Register?

  • You can register on the website as a new client.  Once you complete the forms, a staff member will contact you and provide you access to the scheduling calendar.

How are appointments scheduled?

  • Appointments are scheduled either online using the website calendar or by calling the office.

How are initial and follow-up appointments scheduled?

  • After registration, you will gain access to the scheduling calendar.
  • Check your clinician’s policy page or call TelePsychiatry Associates, LLC if you are not sure what type of appointment to schedule. Please be aware that one type of appointment does not necessarily replace the requirement for another type. For example, some clinicians require that all initial evaluations be office-based (in-person). Before any controlled substances can be prescribed, an in-person evaluation is required.

How much do the services cost?

  • Each clinician has their own set of consultation services and associated fees. The amount you pay will depend upon whether you have insurance coverage for the service you request. You can call TelePsychiatry Associates, LLC at 913-766-7246 for your clinician's fees or you can access their fee schedule after you register on the web site. The fees listed on the web site represent the cost for the services in the event that insurance does not cover any portion of the fees.

*TelePsychiatry Associates, LLC does not distribute or use registration information for any purpose outside medical care.
